'Cosmopolis' Trailer Promises A World On The Brink

Cosmopolis

At long last, a US theatrical trailer for "Cosmopolis" has hit the web. While the movie looks as trippy as ever, this teaser gives us a better sense of the shape of the movie than anything that has come before.

And boy does Robert Pattinson look comfortable in such a bizarre, edgy movie. We're used to seeing him as our favorite sparkly vampire, Edward Cullen, but it looks as though his portrayal of Eric Packer might be our favorite performance of his yet.

"Cosmopolis" made its premiere at Cannes in May, and will hit theaters on August 17. It tells the story of a Wall Street billionaire who spends the day driving around New York City in his limousine as the stock market, his fortune and society begin to crumble around him. David Cronenberg directs the film, which stars Pattinson, Sarah Gadon, Juliette Binoche, Jay Baruchel, Samantha Morton, Kevin Durand and Paul Giamatti.

Of course, this isn't the only "Twilight"-related goodie that we have today. The cast of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2" is headed to MTV News Comic-Con headquarters in an hour to talk anything and everything related to the final installment of the beloved series. Make sure you tune in to our livestream starting at 1pm ET/10am PT to get the scoop!

'Ghostbusters 3' Hires 'Men In Black 3' Scribe For Rewrite

Bill Murray Ghostbusters

Apparently, when Dan Aykroyd says he wants to make a sequel to "Ghostbusters," he really means it. The project, which has languished it development hell for years, has hired a new writer, as a rumor indicated last week.

According to Variety, producers have brought on Etan Cohen, who most recently penned the script for "Men in Black 3," to rewrite the script originally by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg.

The project thus far has been a series of back and forths, largely between Aykroyd and the highly sought-after Bill Murray.

Last week, quotes from Aykroyd appeared online that indicated a new writer was being brought on.

"We've got a new writing staff working on it now," Aykroyd said. "It's got to be prefect. That's the whole thing. There's no point in doing it unless it's perfect. So that's what we're up to now."

For now, put "Ghostbuster 3" down as a cautious "We'll see." When a movie takes this long to come together, be wary.

'Indiana Jones' Blu-ray Set Gets Very Convincing Trailer

Indiana Jones

By Meg Malone

Everyone's favorite archaeologist-action-star is coming back in a high-definition way. The upcoming "Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures" is a Blu-Ray release of all four films starring Harrison Ford as the titular hero and will be available on September 18.

A new trailer for the collection revisits scenes from the films and dishes what viewers can find among the discs of this new collection. If bonus features are your thing, then you'll be pleased to know that the trailer promises there's seven hours worth of them to be found here, including additional footage and behind-the-scenes looks on set. The trailer reveals that "The Complete Adventures" will also include new special features only to be found in this collection.

Sit-down interviews with Ford and director Steven Spielberg are briefly sampled in the trailer, so it'll be interesting to see who else may pop up to share their memories of putting together these films.

Finally, the trailer also gives a "before and after" glimpse at how the franchise's first film, "Raiders of the Lost Ark", has been fully restored from its original 35 mm negatives. Maybe I'm a sucker for technology magic, but it is pretty cool to see the quality difference as that cursor moves across the frame.
