With yet another rousing success as a director about to enter theaters, Ben Affleck the filmmaker has never found himself in a better position. Just one day before his best film to date, "Argo," opens in theaters, word has come down the line about what may be Affleck's next gig as a director.
According to Deadline, Affleck is in talks to direct an adaptation of the recently published Dennis Lehane novel, "Live By Night."

Though Affleck has a number of other projects in the works as a director, Deadline claims that it is Lehane's novel that has his interest now. Affleck began his career as a director helming another Lehane adaptation, "Gone Baby Gone."
"Live By Night" is the second book of a proposed trilogy. The series' first installment, "The Given Day," was originally optioned by Sam Raimi, but that project didn't go very far.
