'Avengers' Star Clark Gregg Boards Jason Reitman's 'Labor Day'

Clark Gregg

The Hulk might have stolen the show in "The Avengers," but it was Clark Gregg's Agent Phil Coulson who captured our hearts. That's why it should come as no surprise that other filmmakers are quickly snapping up the actor for their own projects.

The Marvel star is headed over to celebrate "Labor Day" with Jason Reitman, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. There's no word yet on what character Gregg will be playing, but he is set to join an all-star cast.

So far "Labor Day" already stars Kate Winslet, Josh Brolin, Tom Lipinski, Maika Monroe, James Van Der Beek, Gattlin Griffith and Brighid Fleming. It is based on the novel by Joyce Maynard which is about an escaped convicted murderer who holes up with a lonely single mom and her young son over a Labor Day weekend. The story will be told from the perspective of the son, who will learn many life lessons along the way.

Winslet is set to play the other and Brolin will play the convict. Van Der Beek is signed up as a police officer involved in the story somehow. Not much else is known about the casting and plot of the flick, though if you've read the book you can probably piece it together for yourself.

Though he is now most recognizable for his roles in Marvel's movies, Gregg has had a long-running career in Hollywood. He directed the Chuck Palahniuk adaptation "Choke" and has starred in movies from "(500) Days of Summer" to "We Were Soldiers" to "The Usual Suspects." We're glad he's getting his time in the spotlight now.

"Labor Day" is set to start filming in New England sometime this year.

...We're forgiving, so you can check out the entire never-before-seen clip below.

As you can see, it's going to be a fight to the end for Snow White and the evil Queen Ravenna, since Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman seemed pretty occupied with those animated black shards.

You have to hand it them though. With a cast like this and a property as well-known as Snow White, they really could have phoned it in. Instead, it looks like we're getting a beautiful looking movie and a devilish turn from Charlize Theron as the queen.

"Snow White and the Huntsman" opens in theaters on June 1.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Set To Star In 'The Raid'-esque Movie, 'Ten'

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger continues to "be back," and today he proved as much by signing onto yet another film. This time it's the David Ayer-directed "Ten," which sounds curiously a lot like "The Raid."

Also, Martin Scorsese gets tortured by The Dictator and we learned about anatomy from an "Alien" xenomorph in today's Dailies!

» Sacha Baron Cohen appeared on "SNL" as The Dictator to promote his film and torture auteur filmmakers. [/Film]

'Star Wars' Mystery Project: What Is 'Star Wars 1313'?

Boba Fett

Domain registrations have become one of the most common ways for a secret project to reach the web, and some new purchases on behalf of Lucasfilm could point to a new "Star Wars" project.

As /Film points out, George Lucas' production company, Lucasfilm, recently started snapping up domain names featuring different combinations of "Stars Wars" and "1313." The company bought "StarsWars1313.com," "1313StarWars.com," "SW1313.com," and more than a dozen other combinations.

Buying web domains is one of the first taken after a project receives an official name, so the company won't have to buy them back at inflated prices from crafty users looking to make a profit. If Lucasfilm has been buying domains, you can be almost certain that some new product is in the pipeline.

But what could it be? Fusible.com theorizes that "Star Wars 1313" could have to do with the saga's most popular minor character, the bounty hunter Boba Fett. As the site concludes, Boba Fett used the alias CT-1313 in a young adult novel in the Star Wars expanded universe, "Boba Fett: Maze of Deception."

Before you get your hopes up that this is finally the standalone Boba Fett film you and Joe Johnston dream of at night, a filing with the United State Patent and Trademark Office for "Star Wars 1313" indicates that this project is likely a new video game. Lucasfilm registered "Star Wars 1313" for use in "interactive entertainment software and accompanying instruction manuals." Sounds like a video game, huh?

Regardless, a Boba Fett video game would be nothing to complain about. We just may have to keep waiting for that movie. Help us, Joe Johnston. You're our only hope.

Ben Affleck's Next Directorial Effort 'Argo' Gets Trailer

Argo

In the never-ending scramble to find the early front-runners for Academy Award consideration, Ben Affleck's third directorial effort "Argo" has been popping up in most conversations for all the usual reasons. (Those reasons do not include Affleck's sideburns.)

First, Affleck is coming off of two critical and financial successes in a row with "Gone Baby Gone" and "The Town." Then, there's the stranger-than-fiction true story behind the movie and the all-star supporting cast, which includes John Goodman, Bryan Cranston, Alan Arkin, and Kyle "Coach Taylor" Chandler. Yep, it's got awards consideration written all over it.

Check out the first trailer for Ben Affleck's "Argo" after the jump!

"Argo" tells the story of a CIA mission to rescue American hostages, stuck in Iran after the invasion of the US embassy. Affleck's character, Tony Mendez, concocts a scheme to pose as a Canadian film crew looking to shoot their sci-fi movie in Iran, while secretly removing the stranded Americans.

The story comes from a Wired article written by Joshuah Bearman called "How the CIA Used a Fake Sci-Fi Flick to Rescue Americans from Tehran." You can check out the story here. We highly recommend checking out the original article. It's an incredible story that's so obviously perfect for a big screen adaptation.

The film also stars Taylor Schilling, Victor Garber, Michael Cassidy and Clea DuVall.

"Argo" opens in theaters on October 12.
