'Les Miserables' Posters Offer First Look At Carter And Cohen

Seyfried

"Les Misérables" remains one of the big question marks of the early award season buzz. It has all of the prestige to be a power player by the time that nominations role around, but no one has seen it. Does anyone need to see it, though? The musical is the same beloved musical that's been a Broadway staple for years, and the all-star cast should automatically elevate it into the awards conversation.

Either a way, " Les Misérables " is already considered a big presence in the pre-Oscar field, and with the marketing campaign beginning to pick up ahead of its Christmas Day release date, that should only grow more and more apparent.

The two latest posters for the mega-musical feature two iconic couples from the show. The first gives us our first look at Madame and Monsieur Thénardier, played by Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen. The other focuses on the romantic lead couple, Marius and Cosette, played by Eddie Redmayne and Amanda Seyfried.

Wreck-It Ralph

After a long week of newscasts about the storms and power outages, it's probably time to get back to the movie theaters. You've earned it.

That just leaves a pretty big decision to make. There are three very different movies out in theaters this week that could easily earn your ticket prices.

There's "Flight," a soon-to-be Oscar contender that's earning buzz from Denzel Washington's powerhouse performance. "Wreck-It Ralph" covers the family and gamer crowds. And "The Man With the Iron Fists" is for the film geeks out there.

So what are you seeing this weekend?

'Star Wars 7': Ten Minor Characters We Want Back

Bib Fortuna

Thanks to Messrs. Walt Disney and George Lucas, there will be more Star Wars movies headed toward your local megaplex. More Star Wars movies may mean more opportunities to see our favorite characters in the flesh' more Han Solo, Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian, Chewbacca'but it also means a possible chance to see much more of the lesser-known "supporting" characters that we might have only glimpsed in the existing films.

These are the ten characters that MTV News would be most eager to see again. All of them have extended stories in the Expanded Universe'we may have read about them or seen them in animated form, but watching them come to life again on the big screen would be pretty awesome.

1. Admiral Ackbar
Those lips, those eyes, that sexy waterproof skin. The commander of the Rebel fleet may not be classically handsome by Earth standards, but he speaks with the authority and charisma of a true leader'and what's more attractive than that?

2. Bib Fortuna
Bib's a bad dude, Jabba the Hutt's chief lieutenant. And he's not even a good at it: his weakness leads to his boss' grisly demise. But he does have two enormous tails coming out of his head. They're the coolest of accessories.

3. Chief Chirpa
Little guy, big attitude. As the leader of his Ewok tribe, Chirpa isn't intimidated by the full-size Rebels that he captures on the forest moon of Endor. He's also brave enough to commit himself and his tribe to battling the Empire. If there was a Mount Rushmore for Ewoks, Chief Chirpa's face would be on it.

4. Dengar
For a guy with only about a second of screen time, this bounty hunter has an impressive legion of fans. Is it the menacing scowl that's made him so popular? Or is it the fab headgear? We'd love to get a look under that towel.

5. Doctor Evazan
Another bad dude' so bad that he's got death sentences in 12 systems. After he and his buddy, Ponda Baba, were wounded by Obi-Wan at the Mos Eisley cantina, the doc is probably more bitter and boastful than ever.

6. Lobot
Lando Calrissian couldn't ask for a better assistant: he's quiet, loyal and super-smart due to his upgrade from human to cyborg. Also, his ability to talk to computers proves to be extremely useful. In a perfect world, every household would have its very own Lobot.

7. Malakili
A good man to have around if you've got pets that need pampering, Malakili is the keeper of Jabba the Hutt's rancor monster until it's dispatched by Luke Skywalker. We hope that Malakili was able to rebound from the loss and find a bit of happiness.

8. Max Rebo Band
The trio consisting of keyboard player Rebo, horn player Droopy McCool and lead vocalist Sy Snootles had a lifetime contract with Jabba the Hutt. Now that their contract is technically nulled, the band is free to perform at weddings and bar mitzvahs all over the galaxy.

9. Mon Mothma
This maternal Rebel Alliance leader helped plan and execute the destruction of the second Death Star. Even when she delivers sad news ("Many Bothans died to bring us this information"), Mon Mothma manages to be gentle and even comforting'like a favorite blanket.

10. Nien Nunb
Adorable yet fierce when it comes to space warfare, Nien Nunb served as Lando's copilot on the Millennium Falcon during the Battle of Endor. So what if he only speaks Sullustan and we don't? Dependable copilots are hard to come by.

'Texas Chainsaw 3D' Set Visit: 'A Really Frickin' Scary Movie'

A trip to a film set doesn't usually involve speaking to the cast members while they're covered in blood, but that was the case for MTV News' journey to Shreveport, Louisiana and the set of "Texas Chainsaw 3D."

We spoke with Alexandra Daddario, Tania Raymonde, Keram Malicki-Sanchez, Shaun Sipos and Trey Songz on the set, and a number of them had blood all over their face during the interview.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with "Texas Chainsaw 3D," Daddario does a pretty good job of explain what it's all about.

"This one is a sequel to the original. I think it's a different kind of film than the original, but as far as the stories and the characters, there are a lot of references to the original," she said. "So I think fans of the original will sort of get a kick out of a lot of those references."

But even if you're completely unfamiliar with the series, Raymonde had this to say. "It's just like a really frickin' scary movie," she said. "Some dude in a mask made of human skin chasing you with a chainsaw? That's scary to anyone ' that's scary to people who've seen the original, and it's scary to people who've never heard of 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre.' So I think it's universally going to freak people out."

"Texas Chainsaw 3D" opens on January 4.

Daniel Radcliffe And Jon Hamm Share A Bath

Jon Hamm

No, the above photo is not Photoshopped. Yes, that is Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm in a bath together. And no, the story behind the image isn't as weird as you might think.

The "Harry Potter" and "Mad Men" stars joined the British miniseries "A Young Doctor's Notebook" back in May, with Sky Arts planning to air the four-part mini-series in 2013. The dramedy is based on a short story collection by Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov and features DanRad as a younger version of Hamm.

As this image and the others that were released show, Radcliffe does a great impression of Hamm (or vice versa). When we talked to Radcliffe back in September, he expressed excitement for the role.

"[Hamm and I] play the same character 20 years apart," Radcliffe said of the story. "If you look at the thing as kind of being a meditation on memory, he, as the older doctor in 1935, is remembering his youth and reliving it again by reading the diary he kept when he was a young doctor."

He continues, "What I love about that project is that even though there's a book out there that people can read if they want to, everyone thinks they know what it is, but it's not that."

Those are all great reasons to tune in, but we were sold the second we learned these two would climb in a bath tub together. Let the shipping begin now!

Are you intrigued by this collaboration between Hamm and Radcliffe? Tell us in the comments section below or on Twitter!
