'The Sessions' Trailer Warms Our Hearts In Dailies

Sessions

If one movie came out of this year's Sundance Film Festival with serious Oscar potential, it was "The Sessions," starring John Hawkes and Helen Hunt. You can watch the first trailer after the jump.

Channing Tatum Didn't Want Typical Stripper Outfits For 'Magic Mike'

Male strippers have a bad rap when it comes to their outfits. Everyone just assumes they'll see a cowboy or some dude wearing just a pair of cufflinks. For "Magic Mike," Channing Tatum wanted to buck the stereotypes when to came to stripping regalia.

Tatum told MTV News that the choices in "Magic Mike" reflected what he preferred when he was actually dancing for movie.

"That was sort of my whole thing when I actually did it," Tatum said. "When I danced, I did Boy Scout outfit, and I thought it was the lamest thing ever. Then I did a clown thing."

What Tatum preferred was more representative of the music he was dancing to. "My favorite thing ever was Usher," he said. "I was just like 'No, I'm just going to pick the song I like and dress like the song should be dressed for. That was it. I wanted to be normal. I didn't want to do the iconic stripper things."

Matthew McConaughey, on the other hand, was much more enthusiastic about his next-to-nothing outfits. "It's great wardrobe, isn't it? I loved getting in the wardrobe," he said. "A lot of talk, a lot of work, a lot of hours went into the tassels on Dallas' thong, the length of the tassel, the thickness of the tassel. The thong only weighs half an ounce. I kept all of my stuff."

Tatum agreed, adding "We've got wives now."

'Ted' Compares Himself To Other Famous Bears

Despite his foul mouth, anger management issues and promiscuous behavior, Ted the teddy bear, star of the movie "Ted", still has a cute and cuddly factor. He's a stuffed bear, you can't escape a bit of the 'Aww' factor, and he comes from a long line of famous fuzzy celebrities.

When MTV News caught up with Ted's director, Seth MacFarlane, recently, we asked him to compare Ted to other famous celebrity bears, like Snuggles from the Snuggles laundry detergent commercials, '80s toy Teddy Ruxpin, "The Muppets" funnyman Fozzie Bear and the colorful Care Bears.

As was to be expected, Ted and MacFarlane aren't exactly super fans of their famous brethren, but they did have some high praise for one lucky bear.

"Snuggles, what the hell? He's a recluse," he said. "Who the f--- hides out in the goddamn laundry? Sitting in the goddamn laundry all day, who does that? It's f------ creepy."

He makes a good point there. What the heck is Snuggles always doing in the laundry? Moving on to Teddy Ruxpin, the "classic" talking bear from the 1980s, the existence of which is mentioned in the movie.

"Ruxpin is a machine. More machine than man," he said, adding that there's a dangerous subtext lurking beneath the fur. "Terminator 5"-style.

Ted and MacFarlane had nothing but high praise for Fozzie Bear and his endless supply of chicken jokes and all that fun with "Waka waka waka."

"Fozzie Bear, all good things, all good things. He's the greatest comedian of our generation."

And finally the Care Bears, who had the power, via the object branded on their tummies, to turn any frown upside down with their fearsome "Care Bear Stare."

"The Care Bears, who the f--- wears their emotions on their stomach like that?" he said. "Oh are you happy? Oh I couldn't tell, oh that's right you've got a big goddamn rainbow right on your gut."

'Ted,' 'Magic Mike,' And More: Double Feature Friday!

TED

This week on Double Feature Friday, a bunch of guys take off their clothes, one guy puts on his grandmother's clothes, a teddy bear doesn't wear any clothes, and there's a girl named Hush Puppy.

Learn all about this week's pairing in Double Feature Friday!

"Ted" & "Toy Story"
Seth MacFarlane's first feature length film takes a hilariously logical look at the common movie trope of inadament objects coming to life, so we recommend taking a look back at perhaps the best of the genre, Pixar's first animated feature. The film's sequels tend to overshadow the original, which hasn't aged well in terms of visuals, but the Academy Award-nominated screenplay from Joss Whedon, among others, still shines.

"Magic Mike" & "Dazed and Confused"
Many have labeled 2012 "The Year of Channing Tatum," and while his rise to bankable star is impressive, one could argue Mr. Matthew McConaughey is making a much bigger change this year. With "Magic Mike," "The Paperboy," and "Killer Joe," McConaughey has gone from a career as the doofus half of a romantic comedy, usually with Kate Hudson. We are now in the age of "Matthew McConaughey: Respectable Actor." In celebration, go back and see where it all began. Richard Linklater's ultimate hangout movie was McConaughey's first role and is a modern classic.

"Madea's Witness Protection" & "Eraser"
In the latest Tyler Perry joint, Madea gets a job as the host for a family of federally protected witnesses. Sometimes, hiding witnesses with a man in drag isn't enough. Sometimes people have to be erased, and there is no one better at that job than Arnold Schwarzenegger in one of his better efforts from the 90s. Arnie stars as John "The Eraser" Kruger, the best in the business for secreting away those who need protecting from dangerous enemies. Also, he shoots an alligator, and then says, "You're luggage."

"Beasts of the Southern Wild" & "The Fall"
One of the biggest winners coming out of this year's Sundance Film Festival was undoubtedly the modern day fable, "Beasts of the Southern Wild." The film tells the story of Hush Puppy, a young girl living with her father in a remote part of Lousianna known as The Bathtub. The movie focuses heavily on viewing life from a child's perspective and observing how they grow and face the harsh realities of life. Tarsem Singh explored similar themes in an different, yet equally visually interesting.

'Back To The Future' Day Hoax: Do Not Be Fooled!

Back to the Future

Yesterday, Twitter feeds, Tumblrs, and everything in between went into a frenzy over what everyone was calling "Back to the Future" Day. The idea was that yesterday, June 27, 2012, was the date Marty McFly traveled to in "Back to the Future Part 2." There was even a widely shared screenshot to prove it. People cheered that we as a society had finally made it to the future, and everyone eagerly awaited the release of "Jaws 19" and the Cubs' World Series win.

But anyone with more than a cursory recall of that classic film knew immediately that the internet'believe it or not'was very, very wrong.

The true "Back to the Future" Day is still three years away: October, 21, 2015. The hoax was so widespread, however, that it called for some investigation into where the internet went wrong.

The bright muckrakers over at Slate pieced together the mystery, discovering that there was a very simple, yet very stupid explanation for the hoax.

Yesterday was the second false "Back to the Future" Day. The first one occurred back in 2010, when Total Film posted a doctored photo of the DeLorean's dashboard as a joke.

This latest fake came from the Facebook page of a mobile app called Simply Tap. The image was Photoshopped to promote a sale on the trilogy's Blu-ray collection. From there, the picture leaked out into the mainstream, and people everywhere shared it without any context or an eye for fact checking.

Moral of the story: We still have three years to get the whole hoverboard thing right and make 15 "Jaws" sequels.

Breaking Bad

"You're a time bomb, tick, ticking away, and I have no intention of being around for the boom."

Viggo Mortensen Joining Neil Marshall 'Last Voyage Of The Demeter'?

Viggo

You may be more familiar with the work of the English director Neil Marshall than you think. He made a splash with the well-received "The Descent" in 2005, and he recently directed the much-talked about "Blackwater" episode of "Game of Thrones."

So you should definitely be paying attention to his next project, "The Last Voyage of the Demeter," which may or may not have found its lead.

A report from Bloody Disgusting claims that an offer went out to Viggo Mortensen to star in the film, which takes an expanded look at one portion of Bram Stoker's original "Dracula" novel.

Learn more after the jump!

If Mortensen has actually been offered the role and he accepts, he will play Henry Clemens, a crew member of the Russian ship that transports Count Dracula from his home in Transylvania to London. It's an iconic part of Stoker's novel, and one that does not end well. None of the crew survives the trip.

Mortensen recently committed to reprise his role as Nikolai for David Cronenberg's sequel to "Eastern Promises."

'Paddington' Poster Holds Adorable Potential

Paddington

It's a little bit "Harry Potter" (especially with producer David Heyman aboard) with a dash of "Hugo" (train station plus gold lettering), but what really matters in the first poster for "Paddington" (via ComingSoon.net) is the polite little fellow in the middle of the poster.

Yes, this is the first one sheet for the upcoming adaptation of the "Paddington Bear" books. The classic character is getting the film adaptation treatment and a "Hugo"-esque name shortening.

Check out the full poster after the jump!

The poster shows Paddington upon his arrival to London. The character earned his name for the train station the Brown family found him in before adopting him as one of their own.

Paddington Bear

The poster comes especially early as Heyman only announced the project a few months ago, and release on the print is 2014. So until then we'll probably just enjoy a marmalade sandwich or two.

Leonardo DiCaprio Lights One Up In 'Django Unchained' Photo

Leonardo DiCaprio Django Unchained

For all of the memorable roles Leonardo DiCaprio has disappeared into, he has never played a character on the level of Calvin Candie, the evil plantation owner in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming "Django Unchained."

We've seen a little bit from Candie in the first trailer from "Django," and DiCaprio looks like he's having some fun, chewing every bit of the scenery and looking good in pre-Civil War duds, like in this new photo (via The Playlist).

But that's only half of the picture when it comes to Candie. He is a very, very bad man.

Check out the full photo after the jump.

The new snap shot takes DiCaprio's character further in the direction of what we'll see in the movie. Candie is a dark character and more of a bad guy than any role the actor has had before.

Leonardo DiCaprio Django Unchained

As you probably know, "Django Unchained" tells the story of a freed slave (Jamie Foxx), who falls in with a bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) and struggles to find his still-captive wife. Candie is the man who recently took Django's wife as his property. As more footage is unveiled from the movie, we will begin to see that there is a lot more to Calvin Candie than the preview would lead us to believe.

"Django Unchained" is but one of two movies that DiCaprio will have in theaters this Decemeber. Both this film and "The Great Gatsby" will open on Christmas Day.

Bill Murray Gets Some Color In Dailies!

Image of Bill Murray Gets Some Color In Dailies!

Jeff Daniels Says 'Dumb And Dumber To' May Still Happen

Dumb and Dumber

When Jeff Daniels told MTV News that "Dumb and Dumber To," the sequel to his 1994 comedy, would never happen without Jim Carrey, we feared that it may mean the end for the project. Carrey abruptly left the follow-up this week due to disputes with New Line and Warner Bros.

Carrey left "Dumb and Dumber To" when he grew angry that the studios did not share his enthusiasm for the sequel to the Farrelly Brothers film that helped launch his career in the early 90s.

But when Jeff Daniels appears in the "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," he indicated that the sequel is not quite dead yet.

See the video after the jump!

Daniels explained to Ferguson that Carrey's people are currently working on rectifying the situation in a very scary-sounding way. "Well, Jim's upset. He's got a pretty good reason to be, so my hope is that it will [happen]," he said. "There's a list of names, and he's got his people working on them one-by-one. That's all I'm going to say. He wants to do it. The Farrelly's want to do it. I want to do it. I think America needs it."

Maya Rudolph, Steve Carell And More Head 'Way, Way Back'

Carell Rudolph

Jim Rash, the man better known as Dean Pelton on "Community" and his writing partner, Nat Faxon, have been at work crafting their directorial debut, "The Way, Way Back." The duo are hot off their Oscar win for the screenplay for "The Descendants," so it should come as no surprise that actors are flocking to their upcoming film. But as the casting news flows in, it sort of feels like Rash and Faxon have read our diary entries about our fantasy comedy casts and sought to make our dreams come true.

Deadline is reporting that Maya Rudolph, Rob Corddry and Amanda Peet have joined the cast of "The Way, Way Back." In addition, Sam Rockwell, Liam James, Allison Janney and "Little Miss Sunshine" costars Steve Carell and Toni Collette have come on board the project. Faxon and Rash also star in the movie as a pair of waterpark employees. This is seriously a movie cast made in indie heaven.

From what we know of the plot, it follows a teen (James) who "comes into his own" while working at a water park over the summer. He becomes close with the park's manager (Rockwell), who helps him deal with the drama caused by his uninvolved mother (Collette) and cheating, jerk step-dad (Carell). Apparently Carell's character likes to "drink, do drugs and carouse with other women," so it will be fun seeing the typically goofy actor get to stretch his acting muscles.

In a way, this sounds a bit like "Adventureland," except it will likely have more of a dramatic focus. Deadline is describing the movie as a "comedic drama," which sounds a bit like the approach "The Descendants" took to deal with its serious issues. The movie starts shooting in Massachusetts on Monday, and we can't wait to hear more about the flick once we get closer to its (unannounced) release date.

Are you as excited about this cast as we are? Tell us in the comments section below or on Twitter!

The Secret Butt-Kicking Lives Of Other World Leaders

Abe

By Jessica Marshall

The vampire-slaying exploits of America's 16th president are getting major press this week with the release of the big-screen adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's bestselling, pseudo-historical novel "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter."

Timur Bekmambetov directs and Benjamin Walker stars in the film, which paints a surprisingly convincing picture of how the President's quest for vengeance against vampires could have shaped our country's history.

All things being equal, Honest Abe couldn't possibly be the only world leader to have supernatural beings (other than skeletons) in his closet. Surely the weird hobbies and strange experiences that others have notoriously had could translate to equally compelling books and films.

Here are five more world leaders and their experiences that lend themselves quite nicely to a tale of fantastical historical fiction.

Theodore Roosevelt ' Demon Hunter
TeddyThe 26th president of the United States would never just sit back and let anything in life defeat him. After he lost his final bid for the presidency to William Howard Taft in 1912, he set off on an expedition to explore hitherto unexplored regions of the Amazon River. He and his son Kermit (yes, his name really was Kermit) went where no civilized man had ever gone before to chart a dangerous pass of the river. Much of what happened there is undocumented and many mysteries about his journeys remain. Though Roosevelt survived the harrowing trek, he ended up dying of illnesses he contracted along the way. What if his journeys led him deep into the heart of the Amazonian spirit world, where he had to fight for his life against powerful South American spirits like El Tunchi, La Lupuna, and El Chullanchaqui? The butt-kicking Bull Moose president would surely have put up a glorious fight, rife with special effects that would translate very well on film.

John Quincy Adams ' Mythbuster
JQAWhile you may not ever have an inkling to watch this on a big screen'our nation's sixth president wasn't known to have been a handsome guy'JQA made a habit of swimming naked in the Potomac around 5 a.m. every morning. But what seems like a creepy pastime could actually have been a vital part of his famous foreign policy and fiscal strategies. It's not implausible that back in the 1820s, deep beneath the rolling current of the mighty Potomac, John Quincy Adams discovered the lost city of Atlantis. Did he broker a deal for regular trade with the Atlanteans'possibly the fabled city's precious metals for hardy American crops'in order to famously pay off a good chunk of the national debt? But why do this naked? Perhaps clothing offended Atlantean customs. We'll never know the truth.

Margaret Thatcher ' Ghost Hunter
ThatcherThe Iron Lady made no secret of her love for opera, and frequently attended performances. But what if she didn't just sit back and enjoy the show? Everyone knows old opera houses are hotbeds for supernatural activity, so while a body double pretended to watch the show each night, maybe the Prime Minister crept backstage to vanquish evil phantoms and ghosts who threatened her beloved productions. And perhaps she would combine her ghost-busting chops with her background as a trained chemist to cook up potions and spells to fight all kinds of specters, "Supernatural" style.

Jimmy Carter - X-Filer
CarterOne night in Leary, Georgia, in 1969, President Carter claimed he saw a U.F.O. Whether it was really a U.F.O. or refracted light from the planet Venus, no one can confirm, and Carter has since denied that he thought it was actually an alien ship. But what if it was? And what if that wasn't the first one he'd seen? If so, it's not out of the question that the former president's family peanut farm in rural Georgia was beset by crop circles and U.F.O. sightings during his youth, which increased in frequency until he came of age and had first contact. But when they didn't come in peace, Jimmy wasn't about to let them invade the world'so he fought them off and stole their technology. Perhaps that's why he ultimately established the first Department of Energy as president'to study it and use it for the good of the American people.

Mikhail Gorbachev ' Werewolf Slayer
MikhailThe former world leader famous for helping to dissolve the Soviet Union (and for the gigantic birthmark on his head) could conceivably have spent his childhood in a small Russian village fighting werewolves. In 1933, he claims that an intense famine took the lives of half his village. What if it wasn't famine at all, but werewolves'and they were killing his fellow citizens? When Mikhail lost several relatives, including his sisters, he vowed to see every last werewolf wiped from this earth. With the help of a few loyal comrades, Mikhail took out the werewolf clan terrorizing his village, suffering only a gash to the head (which he claims is only a birthmark). Then he took the fight all the way to the top many years later, where a faction of high-powered werewolves masked as politicians were trying to keep the Soviet Union intact as a means to gather power and influence to take over the world.

Bonus: Kim Jong Il ' Mutant Zapper
KimWhat if the popular "Kim Jong Il Looking at Things" blog is on to something? What if Kim Jong Il had the power to see evil, and vanquish it with a single glare, much like "X-Men" hero Cyclops? Since there's so much we don't know about what went on in North Korea while the Dear Leader was alive, there's precious little proof that this wasn't true. It's a good explanation for why he constantly wore sunglasses, and in Kim Jong Il's untold story, he single-handedly protected his country from mutant produce, textiles, technology, and livestock (among other dangerous, mutant elements). Yes, one look and the mutant threats were extinguished.

'Prometheus': Find Out What David Said To The Engineer

Prometheus David

Obviously, spoilers ahead!

Of the unanswered questions still floating around the heads of anyone who saw and obsessed over "Prometheus," the un-subtitled line of dialogue David speaks to the Engineer seems like the one that most likely has a real objective solution.

What did David say that would have pissed off the Engineer so badly that he'd rip the poor, evil android's head clean off?

Well, it appears that we now have an answer. The Bioscopist (via Rope of Silicon) interviewed Dr. Anil Biltoo, the linguistic expert who advised the cast and crew on "Prometheus."

Click after the jump to learn what David said to the Engineer.

According to Biltoo, the secret line of dialogue is a rather simple one. David briefly explains why he and some guy in old man makeup are standing in the Engineer's ship.

This man is here because he does not want to die. He believes you can give him more life.

"More life" certainly rings of Roy Batty, doesn't it?

That single line was not the end of Biltoo's revelations, however. According to the good doctor, in the original cut of the film, David and the Engineer actually exchange a few lines. "We're all going to have to wait for the Director's cut to see if the conversation between the Engineer and David'and there was indeed originally a conversation, not merely an utterance from David'yields any fruit," he said.

We should have expected the answer to a question to lead to another question. We just got Prometheus'd.

How do you feel about the answer to this "Prometheus" question? Let us know in the comments below and on Twitter!

'Planet Of The Apes' Writers Hired For 'Jurassic Park 4'

Jurassic Park 4

"Jurassic Park 4" is getting some help from writers who know a thing or two about rebooting a franchise.

Deadline is reporting that "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" scribes Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver have been hired by Universal to write the script for the latest installment of the "Jurassic Park" franchise. This is the first we've heard of the planned continuation of Universal's hit series in literally a year.

Last June, it was reported that screenwriter Mark Protosevich had been meeting with "Jurassic Park" director Steven Spielberg to come up with some ideas for the fourth chapter in the series. We don't know what ended up happening with that, but it seems like Universal has gone in a different direction.

"Jurassic Park 4" isn't a reboot as far as we know, but Jaffa and Silver are still exciting choices for the project. We know thanks to "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" that these two can find the balance between creating a fresh new movie and honoring a classic series. If anyone can handle the daunting task of finding a way to make anyone care about a return to this franchise, it's probably them.

Deadline is also reporting that Spielberg will not be directing "Jurassic Park 4" (he will be producing, though). His plate is currently more than full with "Lincoln" bowing later this year, and "Robopocalypse" starting up sometime after that.

'Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2' Teaser Trailer Declares All-Out Vampire War

FROM MTV NEWS

This November, "The Twilight Saga" will come to an end, and with the newest teaser trailer for "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," it looks like it's going out with a bang.

As the Volturi get wind of little Renesmee Cullen from a resentful Maggie Grace, new vampire Bella Cullen must do whatever it takes to protect her family, and that involves introducing a lot of new vampires, including Lee Pace and Rami Malek.

'Monsters University' Unleashes Four Different Teaser Trailers

Monsters University

As Pixar gets ready to release this year's offering of high quality computer animation, "Brave," they're already laying the groundwork for next year's adventure, a prequel to their 2001 hit, "Monsters, Inc."

"Monsters University" follows the monstrous heroes from the first movie, James P. "Sulley" Sullivan and Mike Wazowski, as they enter college at the University of Fear, and as the trailer hints, they didn't exactly get along right away.

You can watch all four versions of the trailer after the jump!

The trailers aren't actually that different. Each contains a different take on a single line, when Sulley pulls the covers back revealing Mike sleeping beneath.

Could Justin Timberlake Star In The 'Baywatch' Movie?

JT

Let's face it, it will take a lot to get girls interested in going to see a big screen reboot of "Baywatch." But Paramount Pictures might have an idea of what that "a lot" is.

A new report from Twitch is saying that the studio is eying Justin Timberlake to play the main character in their long-in-development project. We're putting this very much in the rumors bucket for now, but it doesn't seem so farfetched to think that the former *NSYNC frontman would sign on for the role.

Read more after the jump!

Though Timberlake is on a roll, grabbing great dramatic parts thanks to his turn as Sean Parker in "The Social Network," he's still done his fair share of silly comedies. Let's not forget that the man starred in movies like "The Love Guru," "Yogi Bear" and "Friends with Benefits" not that long ago. Playing a David Hasselhoff-esque character in a reboot of such a beloved television show might not be that bad for his career, even if the movie ends up being bad (or worse, forgettable).

Twitch's report says that Timberlake would play a "disgraced former Olympic swimmer who tries out for the Baywatch crew." Come on, that doesn't sound so bad. And Timberlake would be able to show off his rockin' bod. Are Clint Eastwood or the Coen brothers offering him that? Didn't think so.

The "Baywatch" movie is the brain child of Paramount and producers Ivan Reitman, Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson. Apparently the film's writers have roles for Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson if they so desire them.

Bryan Cranston Calls 'Breaking Bad' Movie Talk 'Not Far-Fetched'

Breaking Bad

In a new interview with the LA Times, "Breaking Bad" star and supporting player in every movie of the last two years, Bryan Cranston spoke about the possibility that 16 hour-long episodes might not be enough for Vince Gilligan to wrap up the story of Walter White and his little meth business.

Previously, the show runner openly talked about fearing that he wouldn't have enough story to fill out the rest of the order, but now it seems the opposite may be true.

Interestingly, talk of extending the life of "Breaking Bad" has led Cranston to admit that he's open to the possibility of a movie.

Click past the jump to read more.

"It's not far-fetched," Cranston told the LA Times. "I wouldn't mind visiting that possibility. And this is coming from a guy who doesn't know anything of how the show's going to end. If it doesn't end up in a total apocalypse, who knows? Maybe we could revisit Walter White a year down the road and see where his life has gone. If he's still alive, that is."

Cranston is a clever guy, and you can see that in his quote. If he went on the record saying, "Yes, a 'Breaking Bad' movie is a possibility," people would begin to assume that A) he knows how the series end, and B) Walter White walks away.

If this talk ensures anything, it's that there is a far bigger world than what we knew before, which more or less ended with Gus Fring. What is this new threat that could extend the narrative beyond the remaining 16 episodes?

We will begin to find out when "Breaking Bad" returns on July 15.

'Master' Trailer Reveals Philip Seymour Hoffman's Character

Hoffman The Master

"The Master," Paul Thomas Anderson's follow-up to "There Will Be Blood," has almost always been described as his "Scientology film." Those involved with the movie have denied any basis in the life of L. Ron Hubbard, the controversial religion's founder, and the director even screened it for his one-time collaborator and famed church member, Tom Cruise.

But a new preview for the highly anticipated film reveals Philip Seymour Hoffman's character for the first time, and Lancaster Dodd certainly shares a few stripes with Hubbard.

Check out the new preview for Paul Thomas Anderson's "The Master."

Like the previous clip, this new look at the film focuses primarily on Joaquin Phoenix's character, Freddie Sutton, a wayward vet who eventually becomes a protégé to Dodd.

'Draw Something' TV Show: The Movies That Could Have Been

Draw Something

As you may have heard over the weekend, Ryan Seacrest's production company is developing a game show based on the latest app phenomenon, "Draw Something." The series will pit celebrity contestants and regular folks like you against each other in an interactive game of Pictionary.

If you're anything like us, the news came with a groan and an eye roll, because "Draw Something" obviously should have been adapted as a feature film. With movie producers snapping up the film rights to anything that moves, it's a surprise that no one saw the potential for a live action feature based on the property.

Well, we did, so here are our three pitches for the "Draw Something" movie.

Murder Mystery
Crash Robertson is a homicide detective on his way to a pension and a retirement spent pursuing his unrealized life-long passion, sketching. But when a serial killer begins leaving a trail cryptic clues, each drawing hinting at the next victim, Robertson must piece together the puzzle to save the murderer's next victim: his ex-wife. The cop must use his artistic potential to take the law into his own hands and leave a few drawings of his own.

Teen Paranormal Romance
Cassie Angelfire has never been understood. Her dark hair, black nail polish, and fascination with "the other side" have caused others at school to label her a "freak" and a "weirdo." But when Brad Sparks, the all-American quarterback, dies in a tragic car accident, Cassie is the only person who can get an important message to his family. The catch is that Brad's spirit can only communicate through drawings left on a school chalkboard.

Romantic Comedy
Cliff has never had any luck in the dating realm. With only a artistic but strictly platonic girlfriend for company, he turns to the companionship of his favorite online game, "Draw Something." But when a game he's playing with an anonymous stranger begins to turn into something more, Cliff begins to wonder if he's found the girl of his dreams and if he'll ever get to meet artist behind the beautiful drawings on his cell phone.

'Star Trek' Sequel: Chris Pine And Alex Kurtzman Offer Teases

Star Trek

Throughout its development and filming, J.J. Abrams' sequel to "Star Trek" has kept the director's tradition of secrecy alive. Only a handful of photos leaked from the set, we're no closer to knowing the story, and no one is really that sure who Benedict Cumberbatch is playing.

Understandably, there was an outcry from trekkies when the line-up for this year's San Diego Comic did not include a panel for the yet-to-be-named "Trek" sequel. When would the answers come?

Last week some journalists spoke with two of the key players, co-writer and producer Alex Kurtzman and star Chris Pine, during the junket for "People Like Us" to see if they could offer up some reassuring words for fans. Neither was completely forthcoming'as expected'but both had plenty of vague things to say about the sequel.

Kurtzman spoke with ComingSoon.net about the intentions of Abrams and the rest of the team when it came time to make a sequel, which in a way explains the absence from Comic-Con. "Part of why we delayed a year was because we didn't want to rush it," he said. "Just because we feel very beholden to the franchise and we feel very protective of it and the worst thing we can do is to put it out there before we felt like we were ready and we were still working on the story."

When Collider had spoken with Damon Lindelof for "Prometheus," he described the new set for the USS Enterprise, which consists of complete, walkable hallways. Kurtzman compliment Abrams and the production design team for the concept when he spoke with the blog. "J.J. was brilliant, in building the sets that way, because what he wanted to do was be able to play whole scenes without a cut, as you were literally moving through this huge, huge ship," he said. "Just to walk on the set was incredible."

Pine spoke mostly in far-flung tangents with Collider, touched briefly on how the IMAX sequences will be akin to "Ghost Protocol," but paid respect to Kurtzman, Orci, and Lindelof's script. "With the second one, people will find that it's the mythic structure, done really well. The character journeys are just perfect mythic structures," he said. "They do it so well. The journeys with the characters will be really great, and the explosions and set pieces are going to knock people out of their seats."

'Taken 2' Poster Puts Liam Neeson In Harms Way

Taken 2

It's only appropriate that on the day after Father's Day, a poster featuring one of the greatest father's in movie history hits the web.

Empire has the first poster for "Taken 2," the sequel to the surprise hit of 2008 starring Liam "I Have A Particular Set Of Skills" Neeson.

The poster confirms what has long been rumored as the plot of the film, which will have the Albanian bad guys from the first film seeking revenge against Neeson's Bryan Mills for simply keeping the promise he made. (He did find them, and he did kill them.)

Check out the full poster after the jump!

The poster reads, "First they took his daughter. Now they're coming for him." This confirms what many have assumed to be the premise of the Oliver Megaton-directed sequel. Perpetual Eastern European bad guy, Rade Serbedzija, recently signed on to play the villain in "Taken 2," which will put Mills more on the defensive than the first film.

Taken 2

But honestly, it's Liam Neeson we're talking about here. We, as many of you probably do, like to think of the recent string of Neeson revenge vehicles as one continuous story of badassery and vengence. Be that as it may, Neeson is fresh off his recent trip to Alaska, where he dealt with a local wolf overpopulation. How much harm can a group of angry Europeans do?

"Taken 2" is expected to hit theaters on October 5.

Ben Stiller Has Aged Quickly In New 'Walter Mitty' Photos

Walter Mitty

No, there hasn't been a new person cast as the title character in the upcoming remake of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty." That is still Ben Stiller, despite the fact that he looks like he could be about 75 years old.

These new images from the film come courtesy of The Blemish, and show Stiller and his costar, Kristin Wiig, wearing some heavy prosthetics to look a lot older than they actually are. In fact, we didn't even recognize Stiller at first glance. Hopefully this isn't a sign of how he'll actually look when he gets to that age, because he's got quite the classic grandpa look going on.

Wiig, on the other hand, looks pretty much the same as she always does. Despite her unhappy expression, we've seen her put on crazier get-ups in Saturday Night Live.

Somehow we doubt she and Stiller spend the entire movie looking this elderly, so we have a feeling that they are shooting some of Walter Mitty's fantasy scenes in these shots. It sort of looks like this scene takes place around Christmas time.

Based on the short story by James Thurber and the 1947 film of the same name, "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" tells the tale of a lonely magazine photo manager named Walter Mitty who has daydreams inspired by the people's pictures he looks at. But he gets thrust out of that fantasy world when one of his negatives goes missing and he must go on a quest to find it.

"The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" also stars Sean Penn, Patton Oswalt and Adam Scott. It's due in theaters on December 25, 2013.

'Splinter Cell' Movie May Be In The Works

Splinter Cell

Sam Fisher may be the next video game character headed to the big screen. Deadline is reporting that two studios have been in talks with Ubisoft about adapting "Splinter Cell," their popular secret agent series.

According to the report, Ubisoft has spoken with Warner Bros, but now it seems more likely that Paramount will take on the project, as they're already working on the next Jack Ryan film, another Tom Clancy franchise, starring Chris Pine and directed by Kenneth Branaugh.

For those of you unfamiliar with the game series, "Splinter Cell" lets you control Sam Fisher, a gruff and stealthy CIA agent who has starred in six games so far. The latest entry, "Splinter Cell: Blacklist," made a huge splash at the E3 gaming conference earlier this month.

This is only Ubisoft's most recent attempt at bringing one of their characters to the screen. The company produces the "Prince of Persia" games, which resulted in a seriously ill-advised movie starring a tan Jake Gyllenhaal.

For any potential "Splinter Cell" film, Ubisoft is demanding some creative control over the adaptation. This kind of agreement is similar to what Sony signed up for when they bought the rights to another Ubisoft property, "Assassin's Creed," near the end of last year. Ubisoft has been incredibly protective of their licenses since "Prince of Persia" happened, and that trend is continuing with "Splinter Cell."

'Rock Of Ages,' 'That's My Boy,' And More: Double Feature Friday!

The Rock of Ages

With this week's releases not offering a whole lot of options at the theaters, this week's recommendations may help you out of a tough decision. Although, you should seek out "Your Sister's Sister" if it is playing near you.

Check out this week's pairings in Double Feature Friday!

"Rock of Ages" & "The Rock"
Here's a hypothetical for you: A team of pissed-off marines just captured Alcatraz and are threatening to unleash a massive biological attack on the Bay Area. You are a neurotic weapons specialist, who puts out increasingly bizarre films. What do you do? If you've seen Michael Bay's 1996 action classic, you know exactly what to do. "The Rock" was Bay back when Bay was Bay, way before all of this "Transformers" nonsense. This is a stylish, over-the-top action fest, made of pure masculinity. You know, what Bay used to do.

"That's My Boy" & "Hot Tub Time Machine"
Sean Anders, the director of the latest expansion on Adam Sandler's mansion, "That's My Boy," co-wrote the screenplay for one of 2010's most under-appreciated comedies, "Hot Tub Time Machine." The absolutely ludicrous premise, which the title happens to perfectly spell out, gets a helping hand from a first-rate cast of funny dudes and a surprising amount of heart. Check it out for some laughs and one of the best uses of Mötley Crüe on a soundtrack.

"Your Sister's Sister" & "The Five-Year Engagement"
It may have just come out a few months ago, but "The Five-Year Engagement" suffered the year's biggest injustice at the box office. Widely considered a bomb, the most recent comedy from writing team Nicholas Stoller and star Jason Segel deserved better than the underwhelming reception. While it lacks some of the magic that made "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" a modern comedy classic, "The Five-Year Engagement" is the kind of smart and adult comedy that doesn't get made often enough anymore.

What are you watching this weekend? Let us know in the comments below and on Twitter!

If one movie is never enough for you and you're looking for a flick to get you in the mood for this week's new release, Double Feature Friday is here to help. Every week we break down the new releases and pair them with older movies that you should catch before heading out to the theater. Or just skip the new movie and check out the classic we recommend.

Vanilla Ice Starts Father's Day Fire (Sale) To Celebrate 'That's My Boy'

A lot has happened since the days of Vanilla Ice and "Ice Ice Baby." Parachute pants went out of style, most people don't bleach single streaks in their hair, and Vanilla Ice doesn't get quite as many endorsement deals as he used to.

That's why Robert Van Winkle, as he's known now, is hosting a fire sale to get rid of all the extra merchandise that he's amassed over the years. Everything must go, and he stars in this brand new video commercial to tell you all about it.
